ABOUT THE ROLE

The Human Resources Coordinator will act as a trusted advisor to the HR Manager, providing support in strategic HR guidance, supporting business objectives, and driving a positive and high-performance culture. The role involves providing administrative and operational support to employees, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and legal regulations. This role combines operational HR functions with strategic support for organizational growth and employee development.

Duties & Responsibilities

 1. Strategic HR Partnership:
  • Collaborate with the HR Manager to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
  • Provide expert advice to management on workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Act as a change agent to drive organizational initiatives and support change management efforts.
  • Identify and address HR trends and challenges to support long-term sustainability.
2.    Onboarding & Employee Relations:
  • Coordinate new hire orientations to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
  • Assist with employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
  • Coordinate employee recognition and wellbeing programs, to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
3.    HR Operations & Records Management:
  • Oversee and enhance HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle management.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across HR policies and practices.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company regulations.
  • Support in the review and implementation of compensation and benefits strategies to attract and retain top talent.
4.    Performance Management & Training:
  • Support the performance management process, including administering evaluations and providing guidance.
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify training needs, coordinate relevant programs, address underperformance, and create action and development plans.
  • Assess organizational needs and recommend HR strategies to optimize structure, processes, and resources.
5.    Policy Development & Compliance:
  • Develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Monitor compliance with labor laws and internal regulations.
6.    Reporting & Analytics:
  • Prepare HR reports and analyze key metrics to support decision-making.
7.    Crisis Management & Conflict Resolution:
  • Act as a key point of contact for resolving employee relations matters.
8.    Other Duties:
  • Act as an interim leader in the HR Manager's absence, maintaining continuity in strategic and operational responsibilities.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support organizational priorities.
  • Assist in ad-hoc HR projects, HR events, schedule meetings, and maintain agendas.
  • Perform any other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in similar role in HR or related roles, with a solid understanding of HR best practices and employment laws.
  • HR certification is a plus.
  • Understanding of general Human Resources policies and procedures
  • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws 
  • Familiarity in HRIS software and tools would be an advantage.
  • Driving licence is a plus.

  • Strong interpersonal and outstanding communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work autonomously with great organizational and time management skills 
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving and meticulous attention to detail
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
  • High level of discretion, confidentiality and integrity, and an ability to manage diplomatically complex HR situations
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and email communication
